PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of a connecting piece interconnecting the two opposed link plates of a chain link of jointly interconnecting each other of a supporting chain for energy conductor and fitting of the connecting piece to the link plates. CONSTITUTION: A pipe piece 23 of flat section of which both side edges are rounded into semicircular shapes is used as a connecting piece, the one side edge is put into the one semicylindrical scooped out part of a recessed part 50 provided on the upper side of the link plate, having an inlet opened upward, and spreading toward the depth, and by rotating the pipe piece 23 around the longitudinal axis, the other side edge of the pipe piece 23 is fitted to the other scooped out part.
