PURPOSE:To obtain a checking method of erroneous piping of an air conditioner which makes it possible to check the erroneous piping in a short time without fail substantially. CONSTITUTION:In regard to an air conditioner wherein a plurality of indoor machines 3A to 3E are connected to an outdoor machine 1 in parallel and on-off valves 51A to 51E are connected to flow dividing circuits 5A to 5E for the discrete indoor machines 3A to 3E respectively, erroneous piping is checked in such a manner that first a refrigerant staying in each of the indoor machines 3A to 3E is collected, then the refrigerant is made to flow through each circuit by opening the on-off valves 51a to 51E by one circuit, refrigerant temperatures in the indoor machines 3A to 3E which the refrigerant made to flow is to reach are measured and it is checked therefrom whether or not the refrigerant flows correctly through the indoor machines 3A to 3E through which the refrigerant is to be made to flow.
