<p>PURPOSE: To control the purge of not only large-size engines but small-size engines. CONSTITUTION: A purge controller 20 for an evaporative controller is provided with a housing 30 having two solenoid operation valves 32, 34 for controlling parallel orifices 40, 70 leading from an inlet chamber 36 to an outlet flow passage 38. The two solenoid operation valves have orifices of different sizes to provide different flow characteristics. The purge flow is controlled by an electric control module 48 regulating the duty cycle of the solenoid valve. Each solenoid valve receives a signal so as to control flows flowing the orifices individually.</p> |
