PURPOSE:To suppress the influence of a disturbance in the operation diagram of a train on those of succeeding trains by providing a plurality of feeder division switches at every feeder section and, when a running position detecting means detects the disturbance, changing the length of the feeder section of its own train by opening the feeder division switches immediately after the train passes the switches. CONSTITUTION:Each substation SS1-SS4 between stations A and B feeds one train in each feeder section with electricity. By providing a plurality of feeder division switches 14 at every feeder section, feeder divisions (d) are formed. When a running position detecting means detects a disturbance in the operation diagram of a train, the means opens the feeder division switches 14 immediately after the train passes the switches 14. For example, when the means opens the switches 14*<1> and 14*<2> and keeps the other switches 14 closed, the feeder section is divided before and after the switches 14*<1> and 14*<2>. Therefore, the influence of a disturbance in the operation diagram of a preceding train on those of succeeding trains can be minimized, because the feeder section of each substation is changed and the succeeding trains continue running until they approach the preceding trains as closely as possible. |
