<p>PURPOSE: To eliminate the need of the resetting operations of peripheral devices to more highly automate a method and device for power upping/downing peripheral device by power upping or downing the devices in response to two statuses of a single signal and mostly performing the power upping operations by reversely performing the power downing operations. CONSTITUTION: When an MCU 10 receives an interrupt signal 24, the MCU 10 accesses an interrupt program stored in a memory which is one of peripheral devices 12 by sending address latch enable signals, one of which is composed of a selected display signal, to an address bus 14 and a data bus 16. The display signal reaches an activity deciding unit 30 and the unit 30 and undeselects or resets a decoder 18. Thus a system is operated. Namely, the peripheral devices 12 are power downed immediately after a standby mode is started and, when the MCU 10 returns to an operation mode, the peripheral devices 12 are simultaneously power upped. Therefore, no disadvantage exists in the access time.</p> |
