<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a Compton free image by locally analyzing energy specrum to be conformed with a trial function formed by a photo-electric peak component and a Compton scattering component, thereby obtaining the quantitative information to reduce influence of the scattered photos on the final image. CONSTITUTION: When a photon 18 collides with the surface of a gamma ray radiation detector 17, electric signals are generated on conductors 19, 21, 22, and a coordinate CPU 23 determines X and Y positions of the photon 18 on the detector 17. The electric signals showing energy are sent to an energy processing circuit 26 after energy correction 25, and divided into a predetermined number of windows W1 -W4 , and after image correction digitizer 31, the respective events are expanded to plural matrixes according to the energy of the photo element 18 to calculate energy spectrum at NE(X, Y). On the other hand, by spread 41 of a system effect and distribution and guidance of a Compton effect, trial energy distribution n (X, Y, E) is made. The calculated value is conformed with the measured value NE(X, Y) to obtain a Compton free image.</p> |
