<p>Instrument for measuring the internal resistance or impedance, in all its forms, of an electrical accumulator or battery or other generator 1, for example the resistance or impedance due to the internal connections, or to the electrolyte, which is constant in time but variable with the state of charge, or that due to chemical and physical factors which is variable both in time and with the state of charge. The instrument, which also provides information on the state of charge of the generator 1, exchanges with the generator 1, by means of 4 and 5, pulses of current 5a, preferably but not exclusively of the square-wave type, direct or alternating, and reads, by means 8, 11, etc., the consequent variations of voltage, the significant ones of which can, for example, be those at leading or trailing edges or both the said edges of a periodic or alternating square wave. <IMAGE></p> |
