The piezoelectric actuator of functionally gradient type by use of PLZT piezoelectric ceramics, is composed of aPbO + bLa2O3 + cZrO2 + dTiO2 (0.89<=a<=0.94, 0.06<=b<=0.11, 0.55<=c<=0.70, 0.30<=d<=0.45). The actuator being useful for printer head, piezoelectric buzzer or speaker is manufactured by laminating piezoelectric ceramics (1),(2) with different compositions by pressing, forming a functionally gradient layer (3) between the laminae by thermal diffusion during sintering, and forming electrodes (4),(4') on surfaces of the device. |
