<p>PURPOSE:To prevent water from seeping in a synthetic resin made pipe joint having an annular threaded fitting embedded in the inner surface by providing a thin curved projection on the tip of the threaded fitting to interpose an O-ring in a pressed state between the projection and the inner surface of the pipe joint. CONSTITUTION:In a pipe joint A having an annular threaded fitting 1 embedded in the inner surface of a synthetic resin made pipe joint 2, the annular threaded fitting 1 is provided on the tip with a thin thickness projection extending axially. A soft material made O-ring 3 is located on the tip of the border between the pipe joint 2 and annular threaded fitting 1 so that the O-ring 3 is interposed to be pinched between the projection 12 and the inner surface of the pipe joint 2 by bending outward the thin thickness projection 12. Thus, tap water is surely prevented from seeping through the border between the pipe joint 2 and annular threaded fitting 1.</p> |
