PURPOSE:To clean a print head by providing a cleaning tape in a cartridge case instead of an ink ribbon and mounting it as it is in a printer. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge case 1 has on its front face a head pocket 4 in which a print head H is to be inserted. A cleaning tape 10 travels in a manner crossing the front face of the opening of the head pocket 4 through a tape reel 2. On the head pocket 4, a covering wall member 22 for covering the outer face of the cleaning tape 10 is mounted. Thus, the running of the cleaning tape 10 out of the head pocket 4 due to slack of it can be prevented and contact of the tape with other members can be protected by the covering wall member 22 when the tape is housed and kept at the time that it is not used. When the cleaning tape 10 is always stored in the head pocket 4 without running out of the head pocket 4 due to the slack, the cleaning tape 10 can be easily inserted also in a gap between the print head H and a platen at mounting on a printer. |
