METHOD AND DEVICE FOR HEAT TREATMENT OF CATALYST OR SOLID ADSORBENT PARTICLE IN PRESENCE OF FLUID IN VIBRATING SPIRAL COIL

PURPOSE: To treat a solid catalyst or adsorbent particles urged upwardly in a helical coil by heating at least one pitch of the coil at a particular temperature and utilizing the Joule effect. CONSTITUTION: A helical coil is disposed on a vibrating table with an eccentric motor to treat solid particles with 0.1μm-10 cm particle size. The particles are introduced through a conduit 6 into the helical coil, urged upwardly and taken out from a conduit 2. The particles are subjected to a temperature profile on most of their path within the coil and are brought into contact with one fluid over a part of the path. At least one pitch of the coil is heated with an electric wire 4 by the Joule effect at 20 deg.C-1000 deg.C to obtain an excellent treatment of a solid catalyst or adsorbent particles.
