<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a new benzodiazepin derivative which is useful as a therapeutic agent for appetite control disorder because of its cholecystokinin-B antagonistic action. CONSTITUTION:A compound of the formula I [R<1> is H, halogen; R<2> is H, imino protecting group; R<3> is phenyl, heterocyclic group, phenyl-lower-alkyl each of which may be substituted with appropriate one or more substituents; A is lower alkylene] and its pharmaceutically permissible salts, for example, (3R)-1,3- dihydro-1-[(1-triphenylmethylimidazol-4-yl)methyl]-3-[3-(4-chloropheny l)ureide]-5-(2- fluorophenyl)-1H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one. The compound is obtained by reaction of a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III. The compound is also useful as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for hyperfunction of enteric smooth muscles, anxiety, mental diseases and as an analgestic agent.</p> |
