摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To obtain a quarternized tertiary aminomethyl acrylamide polymer microemulsion with improved performance. CONSTITUTION: A quarternized tertiary aminomethyl acrylamide polymer microemulsion is treated by (1) adjusting its pH to about 3.6-4.8, (2) adding a formaldehyde scavenger, (3) adjusting its water content in the aqueous phase to result in about 10-45 wt.% of quarternized aminomethylated acrylamide polymer, and by (4) heating the resultant emulsion at from about 40 deg.C to 80 deg.C for about 3-20 hours, the emulsion is rendered more stable, capable of inversion in water indpendently of water temperature or pH of a medium coagulating agent, and shows a superior dewatering ability.</p>
