PURPOSE:To improve durability by removing contact between adjacent reinforced members by a method wherein a spiral pattern of a reinforced member and a stream of an elastomer material are co-extruded, and practically simultaneously incorporated with each other in a concentric circle existing in a plane normal to a central axis of an extruder to form a tubular composite member. CONSTITUTION:The first annular stream 95, the second annular stream 96, and the third annular stream 97 of an elastomer material are transferred to an extruding opening 80 concentrically in an extrusion head 1. A plurality of first reinforced members 10 and a plurality of second reinforced members 10 are rotated in an opposite direction with each other in the extrusion head 1 to manufacture a tubular elastomer composite member 25 forming two spiral patterns of the reinforced member 10. Herein, two spiral patterns of the reinforced member 10 join three streams of the elastomer material at the extrusion opening. The second stream of the elastomer material separates two spiral patterns of the reinforced member, and the first stream and the third stream of the elastomer material covers respectively each corresponding spiral pattern of the reinforced member to form the tubular elastomer composite member. |
