PURPOSE: To obtain high vol. efficiency to miniaturize a printing cartridge by providing an ink reservoir member equipped with an internal spring means for creating negative pressure in an external casing member and a flexible wall means bonded to the internal spring means. CONSTITUTION: A replaceable ink cartridge is equipped with a rigid external housing 10 having a pair of cover plates 12, 14 spaced apart from each other and the respective cover plates 12, 14 are fixed to the opposed side parts of a plastic peripheral wall part 16 by thermal bonding. The cartridge also has an ink discharge opening part 19 provided to the wall part of the lowermost end of the protruding part 13 thereof and an internal foldable ink reservoir structure 25 wherein a pair of ink bag side walls 22, 24 comprising a flexible membrane are provided to both sides of an internal frame 20 is housed in the external housing 10. The ink reservoir structure 25 includes a pressure adjusting device 30 and is equipped with a pair of parallel side plates 40, 50 energized toward the flexible membranes 22, 24 in a spaced-apart direction by a bow- shaped spring 60. |
