PURPOSE: To produce a molded product having excellent soundproof properties and heat insulating properties and high in the compatibility with environment. CONSTITUTION: A fiber material based on synthetic fibers and an adhesive are mixed and the resulting mixture is held within a mold under pressure to produce a molded product. In this method, a fine fiber material comprising fibers having linear density of 1-10 dtex is exclusively used in the molded product as the fiber material and an one component type adhesive is used as the adhesive and the amt. of the adhesive is set so that the content of the adhesive in the molded product becomes 10 wt. % or less.
