<p>PURPOSE:To provide an air drier capable of reducing cost by providing a first switching means acting in linkage with the pressure in a pressure accumulating chamber and blocking the communication of an air pressure source with a drying chamber when the pressure reaches a specified value and a second switching means acting in response to the pressure in the pressure accumulating chamber and communicating the drying chamber with a negative pressure source for keeping the drying chamber at a negative pressure when the pressure reaches a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air supplied from a compressed air source 1 is accumulated in a pressure accumulating chamber 7. A drying chamber 8 contg. a desiccant (e.g. silica gel) for drying the compressed air is provided to a line 4 between the compressed air source 1 and the chamber 7. Further, a first switching means 14 acts in response to the pressure in the chamber 7 and blocks the communication of the compressed air source 1 with the drying chamber 8 when the pressure reaches a specified value, and a second switching means 15 acts in response to the pressure in the chamber 7 and communicates the drying chamber 8 with the negative pressure source 6 when the pressure reaches a specified value. Consequently, since the first and second switching means acting in response to the pressure are used instead of an electromagnetic switching valve, the cost is reduced.</p> |
