HAIR SPRAY FORMULATIONS HAVING INCREASED CLARITY

This invention relates to hair spray formulations based on (1) a sulfonate-containing, water-dispersible or water-dissipatible, linear polyester having a glass transition temperature of 40 .degree.C to 60 .degree.C. In addition, the formulations contain water or a water/alcohol mixture as the liquid vehicle and optionally a propellant. The diol component of the sulfopolyester contains 10 to 30 mole percent 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol. The sulfopolyester contains 18.5 to 22.5 mole percent sulfomonomer, and the sulfopolyester has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 40 .degree.C to 60 .degree.C. The hair spray formulations may be applied in pump or aerosol form.
