The invention relates to a cyclone precipitator with a clean gas outlet located at the top and a bell-shaped or spherical calming element which is located above the solids discharge which is located at the bottom. In order to reduce the entrainment of undesired dust particles upwards by the deflected, upwardly flowing air, the invention provides an air channel which leads from the underside of the calming element as far as the vicinity of the lower free end of the outlet port, projecting into the main container of the precipitator, for the clean gas.
