The invention relates to a driving device which is mounted cantilever-fashion on a driveshaft and is prevented from rotating on the driveshaft by means of a fixed torque reaction bar. In order to avoid a rigid, undamped connection of the torque reaction bar to the component producing the torque and in addition, to permit introduction of the force involved in operation without play, given the manufacturing tolerances, the proposal according to the invention is that the torque reaction bar (7) should be passed from a rigid fastening location (9) right into a cavity (12) of a drive casing (2a) in which it can be clamped radially against opposite edge surfaces (13, 14) of the cavity.
