<p>A high voltage generator for supplying power to a load. The generator includes a step-up transformer comprising a primary stage connected to a primary circuit, and a secondary stage with a winding connected to a secondary circuit which includes the load, said primary circuit connecting the primary stage of the transformer to an electric power supply and comprising a switching unit for supplying high-frequency current to the transformer. Said primary stage includes first and second windings, said primary circuit is connected both to the first winding and, via a capacitor, to the second winding, and said second winding is series-mounted with the first winding across the terminals of the capacitor. Said generator may be used for the high voltage power supply of microwave oven magnetrons.</p> |
