Set of playing cards

The set of playing cards described contains a first and a second set of playing cards, e.g. made of cardboard or plastic. In the case of the playing cards of the first set (I), on each longitudinal side (1) in the region of their ends, there is in each case provided a curved projection (3) formed on in the sheet plane, while the playing cards of the second set (II) have, on each longitudinal side (1) in their middle, in each case a curved projection (4) formed on in the sheet plane. The curved projections (3, 4) are shaped in such a manner that, in relation to the central longitudinal axis of the playing cards, they are congruent in a mirror-inverted manner. The curved projections are preferably of flat elliptical shape. These curved projections serve the purpose of facilitating sorting out of the playing cards when they have been mixed together. For sorting out, the card stack is taken hold of on the longitudinal sides with both hands in each case with thumb and index finger, and in particular firstly at the end curved projections and secondly at the central curved projections. By moving the hands in opposite directions, all cards with the central curved projections (4) are displaced in relation to the cards with the end curved projections (3). Then the two sets (I and II) can be separated from one another with one grip. <IMAGE>
