PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can make optical compensation even when a heater is turned on. SOLUTION: The front side of first liquid crystal cells 35 is provided with a first polarizing member 37. The rear side of the first liquid crystal cells 35 is provided with second liquid crystal cells 36. The rear side of the second liquid crystal cells 36 is provided with a second polarizing member 38. The heater 47 is disposed between the first liquid crystal cells 35 and the second liquid crystal cells 36. The first liquid crystal cells 35 and the second liquid crystal cells 36 are heat insulated.
