MULTIPLEX METHOD FOR TRANSPORT STREAM, TRANSPORT STREAM MULTIPLEXER AND INFORMATION REPRODUCTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex method or the like for a transport stream that can use simple processing without the need for a complicated configuration so as to maintain the consistency on time base. SOLUTION: In the case of configuring an MPEG-TS(Transport Stream) including an access unit being a unit of access to MPEG data, an access unit transfer processing section 103 transmits the access unit as a TS packet from an access unit transfer processing section 103 while a transfer timing control 102 controls transfer timing under the instruction of a transfer control section 101, a PTS(Presentation Time Stamp) imbeding section 105 imbeds a new PTS to a PES(Packetized Elementary Stream) from a PES header transfer control section 104 and a reproduction buffer 106 configures the TS packets into a TS packet stream including the both. On the other hand, a PCR(Program Clock Reference) imbed section 110 imbeds a time reference PCR to the TS packet from a PCR transfer control section 109 on the basis of an STC(System Time Clock) from an STC section 108 and transmits the result to a PCR buffer 111. A TS multiplexer section 112 multiplexes them to configure an MPEG-TS being multiplexed TS streams.
