Reflection compensation takes place in a microwave circuit using double frequency band in waveguide or coaxial circuit first of all by a compensation measure, for example an indentation (5 to 8), optimally placed and dimensioned in the first frequency band with regard to maximum reflection damping, and then also by complementary measures, as a result of which, in a first step, the action previously causing increased reflection in the second band is eliminated, for example by division into two partial indentations (11 and 12, 13 and 14) and, in a second step, is converted into a reflection-reducing action in the second band as well. The measures according to the invention can, for example, be employed in polarisation frequency splitters. <IMAGE>
