<p>This mechanism is used for connecting a cartridge (2) having a circuit board (4) which supplies an external device with information from the board through a connector (13). The machine body (1) is provided with a frame (7) to be engaged with the back of the cartridge (2). Below the frame (7), the connector (9) of the cartridge is arranged, and above it, a supporting unit is arranged. To receive the cartridge, the connecting unit has a hole (11) with an opening (12). The width of the opening (12) is sufficiently larger than the width of the cartridge, and its one end coincides with the edge of the supporting frame. In the connecting unit of the cartridge, a gate (14) is provided for guiding the cartridge in the directions of insertion and removal. A spiral coil spring (23) is provided for the gate to bias it forward. Thus the cartridge can be inserted or removed easily by a slight force.</p> |
