The hand-held shower rose is made of metal. It has a water passage enclosed by a grip body for at least part of its length,together with a hose union nipple and a water outlet at opposite ends. The grip body (11) is of metal, while the water passage comprises a pipe, preferably of copper (16). This is sealed at one end to the hose union nipple (12) and at the other to the wall of the hollow grip chamber (21) at an opening (13a). The grip body forms a chamber sealed off from the outside on all sides, and enclosing and clear of the pipe (16c).
