A method of cloning an electronic device such as a two-way radio (10) having a processor (36) and having data stored in memory (37), where the processor operates according to the stored data. The device is connected to a second, similar electronic device (20); and a program is executed in the first device which causes copying of data into the second device (clone) and which causes de-activating of the first device (destroy), thereby avoiding the co-existence of two identical devices and facilitating servicing. <IMAGE> |
