<p>The value selection and printing machine comprises a printer for a value, including a rotatable head and a drive shaft. A value selector includes a first rack gear slidably movably connected to the drive shaft. The first rack gear includes a first portion of the length movable internally of the device and a second portion of the length movable externally of the device. The internally movable portion includes a driven element, the externally movable portion including first gear teeth formed in it. The value selection includes a rigid guide shaft fixedly mounted within the device and an elongate second rack gear slidably connected to the guide shaft for movement.</p> |
