The spoon has a shaft (1) which is long enough to ensure that all of the palm is in contact with it when the spoon is being held. The shaft has the same dimensions, cross-section and rounded edges (2) as a conventional table knife. The lip (3) as thin as possible and the circumference and shape of the spoon part (4) are designed with the average kiwi fruit in mind.
