Hiv retrovirus infection inhibitor capable of interacting with cd26 receptor

Use of a compound to inhibit the entry of retroviral particles of an HIV-type human retrovirus, such as HIV-1 or HIV-2, in the target cells of an HIV retrovirus infected patient, which compound is capable of modifying the interaction between, on one hand, a CD26-type receptor present at the surface of the cells of a patient infected by said retrovirus, and on the other hand, the envelope glycoproteins of said HIV retrovirus. Recombinant cells capable of expreesing human CD4 and CD26 receptors are also provided.
