A process and device are disclosed for modifying the cross-section of elongate goods, in particular elongate metallic goods, such as wire and the like. The elongate goods are simultaneously subjected to a tensile and to a bending load sufficient to plastically deform the elongate goods and in particular to elongate the extend goods and at the same time reduce their cross-section. The bending load is quasi-statically and dynamically applied and preferably regulated. |
