The invention relates to a device for measuring small fluid flow rates, comprising an assembly with one or more tubes, including at least one calibrated measuring tube (4), this assembly being intended to be interposed in series in the pipe (1) through which the fluid flows, each tube containing a free piston (5). Means (12) for detecting the position of the piston (5) signal passage of the latter through determined intermediate positions following each other with a constant step. A unit (15) for processing the detection signals determines the time taken by the piston (5) to cover successively each of the elementary lengths separating the said intermediate positions, from which the instantaneous flow rate of the liquid is determined. The unit (15) also causes, at the end of each stroke of the piston (5), reversal of the direction of flow of the liquid through the tube (4), using a hydaulic switch (3). <IMAGE> |
