Industrial fabric comprising a structural interlacing (1) of reinforcing threads (21, 22) having individually both a relatively high mass per unit length and at least one dynamometric property of relatively high value, which delimit between them relatively wide primary voids (4), characterised in that filling threads (3) are added in warp and/or in weft with the structural interlacing, so as substantially to fill the primary voids and delimit with the reinforcing threads (21, 22) relatively narrow secondary voids (5), the said filling threads (3) having individually a mechanical strength lower than that of at least some of the reinforcing threads (21, 22), being composed of ordered fibres, in particular fibres aligned in the direction of the said filling threads, and having an apparent density lower than that of at least some of the reinforcing threads. <IMAGE>
