The invention relates to a casting gutter for casting molten metal in a mould, comprising a body (1) which extends horizontally in order to pour the molten metal, water-cooled sleeves (10) formed from the two sides of the body, cooling-water-supply channels (12a, 12b) for delivering coolant water (18) into the cooling sleeves, means (13a, 13b, 15a, 15b) for adjusting the coolant-water supplies in the respective coolant-water supply channels, means (17a, 17b) for detecting a lateral flexion of the body, and means (16) for controlling the coolant-water-supply adjustment means as a function of a detection signal originating from the flexion detection means. This device makes it possible to detect a lateral flexion in the body and to modify the balance between the coolant-water supplies in the direction of the cooling sleeves in order thus to rectify a flexion of the body. <IMAGE>
