<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate precursor and a lithographic printing method employing the lithographic printing plate precursor capable of performing image recording by infrared laser scanning and on-press development and excellent in fine line reproducibility and printing durability while maintaining good on-press developing properties. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing method employs the lithographic printing plate precursor. The lithographic printing plate precursor comprises a support having thereon an image recording layer capable of being removed by a printing ink and/or a fountain solution, in which the image recording layer comprises an infrared absorber and a graft polymer having a graft chain containing a hydrophilic segment, wherein the hydrophilic segment is a polymer containing specific monomer units by 50 mol% or more or a graft polymer having a hydrophilic main chain and a graft chain containing hydrophobic segment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
