<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium loading device equipped with an auto-loading mechanism, capable of surely loading the connector of a recording medium side and the connector of the device side. <P>SOLUTION: When the insertion connector 3 of a recording medium 1 side is loaded in an internal connector 40, an insertion load is generated therebetween. Thus, the movement of a moving member 50 is regulated while a movable member 60 is moved to a loading completion position. Accordingly, the movement of the movable member 60 is accompanied by a gradual increase in the tensile force of a pressing member S2 between the movable member 60 and the moving member 50. When the tensile force of the pressing member S2 exceeds the insertion load, the moving member 50 is moved to the loading completion position by the tensile force.
