A humidifier (1), including at least one housing (2), in which multiple fibres (3) constructed as water-permeable hollow fibre membranes are arranged, wherein a first air stream (4) is passed inside the fibres (3) and a second air stream (5) is passed outside the fibres (3), and wherein the housing (2) is of flattened design.
