The apparatus for removing the paper jam by intermitting the gear of the power transmission system includes a sub-gear (3) placed at a heating roller (1) and linked to a developer gear (2), an idle gear (4) placed between the sub-gear and a motor driving gear (10), a bushing (6) and a spring (9) cutting off the power by pulling out the gear, and a bushing supporter (7) with tapered face. Then the paper jam occurred between the heating roller and a pressing roller (11) is removed by coupling and decoupling the idle gear to/from the gears intermittently.
