The anti-collision assistance device for an aircraft, comprises, in combination: - a position-determining means, with a precision of the order of about one hundred metres, - a transmitter of a repetitive signal with known frequency characteristics, always carrying an identification of the aircraft and at least the position of the latter, - a receiver of the said signals transmitted by the other aircraft, - means for decoding the position carried by each received signal, in relation to the identification which it also carries, - means for monitoring the trajectory of the other aircraft, and - means for comparing these trajectories to that of the aircraft in question. <IMAGE>
