Process for obtaining metallic tin from tin compounds RSn in gaseous form, which are introduced into an absorption tower in which they are neutralised, and in which a washing circuit is provided with a view to the hydrolysis, and a spraying device which is employed for pouring and recirculating the solution formed at the bottom onto the tin compound RSn, the resulting gases being expelled outwards and the solution being recirculated in a circuit for tin recovery, comprising an electrolytic recuperator from which tin Sn is removed by electrolysis of tin dioxide SnO2. <IMAGE>
