The control circuit discriminating the CD disk and the CDG disk to automatically choose the character video signal of MLP and the image video signal of CDG includes a flip flop (FF1) memorizing the write control signal (WR); a micro-processor (21) generating the start playing signal and the general control signal; an OR-gate (OR1) operating the control signal from the micro-processor and the signal from the flip flop; and an analog switch (SW1) selecting the character video signal and the CDG image video signal.
