Modifiable assembly for elastic connection between the rod (6) of a vehicle shock absorber (damper) (1) and a structure (2) to be damped, consisting of rigid reinforcing members connected to a connector assembly of elastomeric composition in order to delimit a closed volume containing a filling fluid, characterised in that the closed volume is completely sealed against its surrounding medium, and in that the static and dynamic characteristics can be modified by varying the composition of the filling fluid and/or the volume of the said closed volume which, interacting with the connecting assembly of elastomeric composition, on the one hand makes it possible to alter the relative displacement of the components and, on the other hand, makes it possible to filter out vibration as a function of the progressive damping requirements.
