Device for handling track functions in electronic signal boxes

Each track-release indication section is preferably assigned a separate track section element (GA1) in the processing logic in the signal box, which track section element (GA1) realises specific track functions for all the associated track elements (W1 to W4). The programs for realising these track functions, predominantly the monitoring of the track in the route system and the release are no longer present in the processing logic of the track elements. The track section elements are placed in the signal box-side track system in such a way that in the simulation of the respective track-release indication section they assume a position which is touched by all possible routes via this track-release indication section. The track section elements (GA1) interact with the adjacent track section elements in order to exchange indications via the logical elements (SW1 to SW4) of their own track section elements and those of the adjacent track section elements, and under appropriate conditions cause track-release codes and reports which are required for the release of track elements to be passed on. They are preferably actively self-releasing and release the track elements assigned to them according to the principle of automatic release. <IMAGE>
