<p>PURPOSE:To provide an automatic gain controller without receiving influence by the steep change of a reception signal level of transmission antenna hopping system or frequency hopping system. CONSTITUTION:A gain limit means 7 which limits the width of control of an amplification factor by a gain control means 6 is provided at the automatic gain controller equipped with a variable gain amplifier means 5 and a gain control means 6 which controls the amplification factor of the variable gain amplifier means 5. Since limitation is added to the control of the amplification factor by the gain control means 6 even when the reception signal level is changed steeply, the change of the amplification factor can be prevented from increasing compared with a conventional one, which enables quick follow up for the change to be attained. Therefore, a large dynamic range is not required even in a circuit on the rear stage after the gain control.</p> |
