The invention relates to a method for filling a cartridge (3) open on one side with a fluid by placing the cartridge in fluid-transferring with an outflow aperture (8) of a container (2) filled with the fluid (4). The container further comprises a venting aperture (7) and at least one of the two apertures is closable. The closable aperture(s) is opened until a determined quantity of the fluid has flowed from the container into the cartridge, and finally the connection between the cartridge and the container is broken.
