PURPOSE:To obtain an optical detecting jig and an optical detecting method using this jig which measures power of a semiconductor laser while can measure its noise at the same time. CONSTITUTION:An optical detecting jig is constituted so that a light receiving section 4 in which a half mirror 5 and a light receiving element 6 are stuck each other is mounted on a cartridge case 1 having the almost same external shape as an optical disk cartridge being a recording medium. A laser beam emitted from a semiconductor laser is made incident on a light receiving section through a opening section 3 for a light receiving section, a characteristic of the semiconductor laser is measured by a laser beam transmitting the half mirror 5, but since a part of the laser beam is reflected by the half mirror 5 at this time, condition at the time of recording and reproducing for a normal optical disk can be reproduced. |
