PURPOSE:To realize a compact and high power light source with a stable oscillation output related to a laser light source using a semiconductor laser and an optical wavlength conversion element. CONSTITUTION:The semiconductor laser 21, the optical wavelength conversion element 22 on which an optical waveguide 2 and a polarization inversion layer 3 are formed, and a grating 9 are provided in a mount 20. A beam from the semiconductor laser 21 is made incident on the optical waveguide 2, and is fed back partially by the grating 9, and then, the oscillation with a stable wavelength is generated. At this time, by high frequency-driving the semiconductor laser 21, the instantaneous output of the semiconductor laser 21 is increased remarkably, and a converted beam is also increased accompanying that. Thus, a stable and high power harmonic output is provided. |
