PURPOSE:To provide a pronunciation dictionary developing device which can eliminates an unknown word due to a difference between registered words in a KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI(Chinese character) conversion dictionary and a pronunciation dictionary. CONSTITUTION:A control part 11 takes information on the reading and notation of each word out of the KANA-KANJI conversion dictionary 14. Then the control part 11 decides whether or not this word is registered in the pronunciation dictionary 15. When the word is registered, the control part 11 displays the information and an input message for an accent on a CRT 12. Consequently, a user inputs accent information through a keyboard 13. This accent information is registered in the pronunciation dictionary 15 by the control part 11 together with the information on the reading and notation. |
