PURPOSE:To provide a video communication equipment in which misdial can be prevented by transmitting a message such as a name in order to allow a calling side to know who the called party is, and can leave only a message without directly calling at the time of an incoming call. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with an automatic answering means 10 which automatically answers the incoming call when an incoming call request is issued, and a designation message control means 11 which displays the message such as a name for allowing the calling side to know who its own side is, and information related with an operation later at the time of automatic answer, in addition to the function of a conventional video telephone. Also, the device is equipped with a word message control means 12 which displays the message for accepting only words and the information related with the operation later. Thus, the calling side can judge whether the destination of communication is correct or not by confirming the message without troubling the hand of the call incoming side, so that the misdial can be prevented, and the message can be communicated without directly calling. |
